Will iWonder Surf Work On My iPod touch?
Yes, the iWonder Surf software will function
on both the iPhone and the iPod touch. The same
technologies are used in both devices, and iWonder Surf
utilizes those technologies. The iPhone always has an
available network connection via the cell phone carrier,
however the iPod touch does not. In order to use iWonder
Surf with an iPod touch, you will need to have an available
Wifi connection.
Can I Allow My Child To Surf Any Site?
Yes, you can. As the parent, or iWonder Surf
manager, you control exactly where you child can go. You
can restrict all sites, you can restrict certain sites, or
you can allow anything through. You can change it at
anytime in just a few seconds and you do not need to have
physical access to your child’s device.
Do I Need To Change Settings On The Device Itself
To Modify the Rules for Surfing?
No, you do not need to change the settings
on the iPhone or iPod touch to modify rules. After the
initial installation and configuration of the iWonder Surf
software, you can manage all of the web content settings,
filters, etc from any Mac or PC (and even iPhone). Using
iWonder Surf technologies, the rules are instantly applied
to the device, no matter where it is (in your backyard, at
school, or across the world).
How Do I Know What Sites My Child is Visiting?
When you log in to the iWonder Surf
management system, you will be presented with a list of
devices that have iWonder Surf installed. Simply select the
device, and click the “View Traffic” icon. You will be
given a list of every site your child has visited (or
attempted to visit in the event you have blocked it), and
the ability to view that site right from your Mac or PC.
iWonder Surf even logs traffic that is blocked, so you can
see what your child is TRYING to access, even though they
are not successful at it.
Can I Totally Disable The Web?
Yes, you can. When you log in to the iWonder
Surf management console, simply select the device, and
select “Block All”. This will disable all web surfing on
the device, however, if your child tries to get on the web,
those attempts will be logged and you will be able to see
what site they tried to access and when.
What Determines What Sites Are Blocked?
You do. You can block and unblock any
website for any device through the iWonder Surf management
console. By default, everything is allowed. You can block
sites manually, and as an added option, you can block sites
based on a predefined list of content.
Do I Have To Buy A Separate Copy For Each iPhone
and iPod touch?
No. Per the iTunes Store agreement, you can
install and use the iWonder Surf software on an unlimited
number of devices that are synced with the same iTunes
account.
